🦸♂️ Crime-Fighting Disguises
Governor Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas posted on social media:
“It’s morphin’ time!”
These creative officers managed to recover:
- 📱 Four stolen phones
- 💰 $2,425 in cash
Using disguises, São Paulo police have significantly reduced crime during Carnival.
📉 Festival Crime Reduction
Compared to last year:
- 📉 2025: 880 reported phone thefts
- 📈 2024: 2,344 reported phone thefts
The strategy is working! Officers have also dressed as “El Chapulín Colorado” to blend in.

The festivities run until March 5, but with undercover heroes on patrol, criminals should think twice! 💥
