🎭 Superheroes on Patrol

Every year, São Paulo’s Carnival is packed with vibrant costumes and iconic superheroes. But this time, real-life crime fighters joined the fun—undercover police dressed as Power Rangers! 🦸‍♂️👮‍♂️

📸 Viral Crime Bust

A video shared by authorities shows the Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Black Rangers taking down a suspected phone thief. The crowd erupts in cheers, chanting:

“Power Rangers! Power Rangers!”

Another clip shows the Black Ranger holding up a handful of recovered stolen phones. Crime doesn’t stand a chance! 🚔

🦸‍♂️ Crime-Fighting Disguises

Governor Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas posted on social media:

“It’s morphin’ time!”

These creative officers managed to recover:

  • 📱 Four stolen phones
  • 💰 $2,425 in cash

Using disguises, São Paulo police have significantly reduced crime during Carnival.

📉 Festival Crime Reduction

Compared to last year:

  • 📉 2025: 880 reported phone thefts
  • 📈 2024: 2,344 reported phone thefts

The strategy is working! Officers have also dressed as “El Chapulín Colorado” to blend in.

🎉 Carnival Continues!

The festivities run until March 5, but with undercover heroes on patrol, criminals should think twice! 💥
